DEVELOPMENT OF THE LIGHTNING CLAMP

A Clamp Developed, Tested and Proven in Commercial Use.

Prior to commercialization in 2001, The Lightning Clamp had been under evaluation by builders and other tradesmen in Australia for 4 years. It is a time saving multi-functional hand clamp suited for tradesmen who work alone, and is used frequently in renovations and additions to timber framed buildings.

The Lightning Clamp uses threaded rod between the clamping faceplates. This allows clamping of any distance, from a few millimetres, to several meters.

IN CLAMPING CONFIGURATION

This extended dimension in clamping, allows tradesmen to quickly and effectively pull in and hold work in place while fixing into position. They are able to clamp work situations where they would never previously have considered using a clamp. For additional detail see long distance clamping.

This versatility in clamping distance make The Lightning Clamp a solution for the majority of clamping jobs. It can substitute for several other clamp designs, and will also make it unnecessary to own several different sized clamps of the same type.

The clamp has a robust heavy-duty mild steel construction and will stand up to the rigors of use in the manufacturing sector and by professional tradesmen. It is entirely fabricated and machined - no part of the tool is made from cast iron.

Patents
The clamp is protected by worldwide patents, and U.S Patent No. 6,227,528 and Australian Patent 741,487 has been granted.
